On May 22, as reported here earlier, a U.S. District Court ruled that California’s ballot access law for newly-qualifying parties is probably unconstitutional, and enjoined the state from enforcing the deadline. However, the only media that has reported this news so far is ElectionLawBlog and Ballot Access News.
The decision came in a case in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles, and is called California Justice Committee and Constitution Party of California v Bowen.

Demo Rep – what are you trying to say? Slow down, comment seems like very confused. Don’t the Dems trust the People to vote for the best candidates…. who probably aren’t the establishment hacks. Are you trying to say that more than two parties is anti-democracy? Sounds very Soviet Union/China-like… kind of scary.
Ballot access is great, the more choices, the better for people. Unless of course, you’re part of the Bi-Partisan Debacle, that is crumbling, old, out of touch, and just corporate-owned.
I imagine once people start realizing that the Democratic Party platform says it’s OKAY to support/legislate/enact such KGB-styled, Vlad Putin-esque provisions like indefinite detention, zero transparency (expanded state secrets), aggressive persecution of peaceful First Amendment protesters & Whistle Blowers, more deportations than Bush, bigger military budget/waste than Bush, corporate-servitude including Wall Street welfare & forced insurance industry bailout (ie obamacare), and the Democratic Party’s piece de resistance, the crown jewel of Mr. One-Term’s accomplishments, outright assassination of US Citizens, just because. Do not pass a judge, jury, lawyer or any remnant of the Constitution, go straight to dead. Is that really the party that people want, is that really lesser evil? No way, on both counts.
