It does look as though the Lib Dems are going to come away with nothing in this coalition with the Conservatives. Best not to do it again.
I am not sure what the LibDems expected. They lost seats in the last election as well.
From what I know about British government, I think the House of Lords is pretty much just an honorary position. It is in the House of Commons where all of the laws and bills are decided.

It is the first time that there have been Liberal minsters since the war time coalition so we are in a steep learning curve but we are getting some of our policies into action ie raising the personnel allowance to £10,000 per annum.
