The Massachusetts Joint Committee on Election Laws will hear H 652 on Wednesday, May 15, at 2 p.m. The bill says each U.S. House district should elect its own presidential elector.

  1. Lemme guess the party to which the bill sponsors belong. No no, don’t tell me. Let me guess.

    Um…is it the party that gave us Voter ID laws?
    Is if the party that wanted to shut down early voting in urban precincts?
    Is it the party that’s introducing bills like this in other states where the opposition party generally wins all of the electors?
    The party that just LOVES caging lists?
    The party that buys robo calls to threaten voters with possible arrest if they show up at the polls?

    Does the party name start with, oh…just spitballing here…an “R?”

    Oh…golly gee…they ARE Republicans, aren’t they?

    What staunch defenders of democracy and freedom these Republicans are, eh? What a great, patriotic, AMERICAN party.
