North Carolina House Passes Bill to End State Income Tax Check-off for Political Parties

On June 17, the North Carolina House passed HB 951 by 76-36. The bill abolishes the listing on state income tax forms that asks taxpayers if they wish to send a small donation to the political party of the taxpayer’s choice. Now the bill goes to the Senate.
