Texas Redistricting Trial Opens

On July 14, a 3-judge U.S. District Court in San Antonio began the trial in the case in which the U.S. Justice Department says that the last Texas redistricting plan violates the Voting Rights Act and the Fourteenth Amendment. See this story.
