Independent Party of Florida has something like 270,000 registered members, but because it is not 5% of the total registered voters, it will not qualify for holding a presidential preference primary.
But then again, when was the last time the Florida State Independent Executive Committee held a meeting?
But that is okay. Two members of the Independent Party paying their filing fee to run for the same office, automatically triggers a Independent Primary. Not sure if the State Party Chair is aware of that state statute.
