Alaska Libertarian Representative on Alaska Campaign Finance Body Likely to be Mark Fish — 4 Comments

  1. What power will one have on this committee? If he could use it for a forum for building a political base, then I suppose to could be beneficial. Don’t know what controversies which this committee might stir the ere of the people, but if it is in politics, there usually two sides to any issue.

  2. The Alaska Public Offices Commission is the equivalent to the Alabama Ethics Commission. It is a quasi-judicial position.

  3. Well, Mr. Fish ought to become such a house-hold word in four years, he could become the next governor of Alaska. If his job is to regulate corruption, then I’m sure there is plenty to find. Don’t know the limits of the job, and the budget he’s given to work with, but I’m sure there is plenty of dirt in America’s last frontier. A few politicians run because they love the attention. George Wallace was like that. He would have been on the campaign stump everyday if it had been necessary. But some politicians are scum-bags of the 1st class nature. I trust Mr. Fish will go full force – but I encourage him to keep himself armed, and don’t turn his back. He might need to plan to stay in one hotel, then at the last minute cancel and the make reservations unannounced at another.

But I do hope he will be a successful member of this commission. Many people thank 3rd parties and Independents can’t manage or run an office. Here is Mr. Fish’s chance to show them wrong. But he’s got a forum for the Libertarian Party and he needs to use it to the fullest!
