New Zealand High Court Rules that Voting Ban on All Sentenced Prisoners Violates Bill of Rights

On July 24, the New Zealand High Court ruled that a 2010 law, depriving anyone sentenced to prison from voting while in prison, violates the nation’s Bill of Rights Act. See this press release from the court. The decision is Taylor v Attorney General.
