California Bill, Enfranchising Some Adult Citizens Who are under Conservatorship, Advances

California State Senate Bill 589 has passed the Senate and several committees in the Assembly. It would provide that adult citizens who have a conservator may still register to vote if they can communicate that they desire to register to vote. Currently, each California county has its own policy about revoking voting rights for registered voters who are put under a conservatorship. See this story. Thanks to AroundtheCapitol for the link.
