Colorado Republicans Will Send Unpledged Delegates to Republican National Convention

Colorado isn’t holding a presidential primary in 2016. The Republican Party will start the process of electing delegates to the national convention in local caucuses in the spring of 2016, but the process of electing delegates will not have any matching caucus presidential voting. Of course various individuals chosen for the national convention will have their own preferences, but all delegates will be completely free to vote for anyone they wish at the July convention itself. 1. How much ANTI-Democracy NON-P.R. stuff in the Elephant delegates system ???

i.e. last second rigging of stuff in 2016.

ABOLISH the ABSOLUTE SUPER timebomb Electoral College N-O-W.
    —-
    Uniform definition of Elector-Voter
    P.R. and nonpartisan App.V.

  2. The article is misleading. RNC rules now require national convention delegates to be bound by any statewide poll.

Colorado caucuses and conventions are a multi-tiered process, which is also used to nominate candidates for the primary for other offices. The precinct caucuses choose delegates to county and district conventions. There is nothing that prevents caucus attendees from choosing delegates who support particular presidential candidates.
