Bills for the National Popular Vote Plan have been introduced in both houses of the Arizona legislature. They are HB 2456 and SB 1218. Amazingly, two-thirds of members of the legislature are co-sponsoring the bills, making it extremely likely they will pass. Arizona will then be the first state with a Republican majority in both houses of the legislature to have passed the plan.
This is great news.
I wonder what Republican Gov. Ducey’s opinion is on NPV? If he has even commented at all.
NO uniform definition of Elector in the NPV scheme from Hell.
Subversion of the sovereignty of each State — i.e. having voters OUTSIDE of a State determine election results INSIDE such State.

Proper remedy –
Const Amdt – uniform definition of Elector in all of the USA
Nonpartisan App.V. for all elected executive officers and all judges.
“Remedy”?
“Remedy” suggests there’s a “problem”. What problem needs a remedy, DR?
Great news indeed. The problem that needs a remedy is that each vote for president doesn’t count, and we are very far from a true democracy. Such a plan would not undermine AZ sovereignty. Quite to the contrary, presidential candidates from any party would no longer ignore Arizona voters if our inidividual votes counted. If the popular vote movement grows, there will eventually be court cases and maybe even amendments, but bills like this are the clearest path to progress.
