On February, the U.S. District Court that is handling the Utah Republican Party’s lawsuit over nomination methods allowed the Democratic Party of Utah to intervene in the case. The Republican Party had opposed that intervention. See this story.

  1. “The GOP argues that the Democrats’ intervention is meant to force the state to take away its qualified party status.” But the GOP probably wouldn’t support the idea of more political parties in Utah.
