The Jill Stein campaign web page has this page, seeking volunteers to come to Hostra University on the evening of September 26. Hostra, on Long Island, New York, is the site of the first presidential debate. Transportation is being provided from New York city.

  1. Why do they always have debates at this venue? New York is a state that clearly will go for Clinton. And they gave gubernatorial debates here too. Why? Why not have those upstate or in the city? Why Long Island?

  3. Clay, its very easy to control the flow of people on the island, any mass gathering can be quickly controlled

  4. Brandon, I don’t think that fully explains the situation. Yes, controlling crowds is something to consider at public events. But I think there’s a bit more to it than that.

  7. The Missouri Libertarian party should demand that Gary Johnson should be allowed in the debates.
