Washington State Newspaper Article on Why Evan McMullin Isn’t on Ballot in Washington

The Inlander, a free weekly in Spokane, Washington, has this article explaining why Evan McMullin isn’t on the ballot in Washington state. The problem is the state’s July deadline. In the past it was in September, but over the years the Washington legislature has made the procedure more restrictive.

McMullin didn’t declare until August 10, and the petition deadline was July 23.
