If the website FiveThirtyEight is believable, their polls only forecast still would have Hillary winning. They are showing a 2012 map, except that Trump has flipped Ohio and Iowa (+24 EVs), but that Hillary has flipped North Carolina (-15) EVs. That would put Trump at 215 EVs, still short, even if he carries Utah.
I noticed that Trump has three campaign events scheduled for today, one in Nevada, one in Colorado, and the last one in Albuquerque. I’ll be interested in whether he says anything about Johnson in any of these states, but especially New Mexico.

It seems to me that Gary Johnson should leave Utah to Evan McMullen and concentrate on New Mexico. Then maybe they could each win a state.
William–The left helped Nixon in another way. The news media kept bashing Humphrey in the pre-convention campaign, then he got nominated against Wallace and Nixon. The result was the damage the media did was too great to be repaired by Election Day.

In this post we did logical progression from Gary Johnson being on a PBS TV show to the left helping elect Nixon.
Always nice to see thought processes bore out.
The only thing is, Utah has six EV. And New Mexico has five EV. If Johnson truly wishes to jam the electoral college and force a decision by the House, he needs more EVs than McMullin. He either needs to win Utah or another Western State more likely in addition to New Mexico. Maybe Montana or Wyoming.
