Gary Johnson Releases List of Six Individuals He Would Consider for U.S. Supreme Court, if he were Elected

On November 2, Gary Johnson released this list of six individuals whom Johnson would consider appointing to the U.S. Supreme Court, if he were elected. As far as I know, this is the first time any general election presidential candidate, other than a Republican or Democratic nominee, has ever released such a list before a general election.

  1. Trump has put out two lists of people he’d consider for the Supreme Court, one of 11 people, and one of 10 people.

  2. Kozinski, Brown, and Estrada would be excellent picks.

If he were elected, he might hve the chance to pick all of tehm.

  3. Tim, Brown’s and Estrada’s nominations to lower courts were fiercely filibustered by the majority of Democratic Senators.
My reaction to the list of those six people is to say that I’m very, very disappointed. The only one of them that seems I could respect as members of the Supreme Court is Tom Campbell. I’ve been reading an essay by Randy Barnett praising the Lawrence v. Texas majority opinion, and I’m down-right appalled.
I’ve now gotten a lot more information about what Gary Johnson is looking for in choosing who to appoint to the Supreme Court; I’ve been wanting information like this. Now that I’ve got it, and I’ve been reading about Barnett, Brown, Kozinski, and Estrada, I’ve made up my mind to not vote for Trump, Clinton, or Johnson. I most likely now will write in Even McMullin.
