I know that McMullin beat Clinton in several counties in Utah. Has anyone else found a county or other other political subdivision where a third party candidate beat or tied Clinton or Trump? The only one so far I have found is McPherson county, Nebraska where Johnson tied with Clinton. This was mostly due to Clinton doing very poorly in rural counties. There were a several other counties in the plains states where Johnson came close to Clinton’s votes.
The map for Johnson only surprised me by how well he did in the plain states. Otherwise the results were as expected; relatively, the LP does better out west and upper New England and poorer in the South and the mid-Atlantic states.
