It’s ironic that such pressure has been directed at Michigan presidential electors, since Michigan is one of two states that statutorily eliminates the possibility of certifying a faithless electoral vote. Under Mich Comp. Laws 168.47, any 2016 Michigan presidential elector who failed to vote for Trump/Pence would automatically be replaced ahead of having his/her vote recorded.
