Maryland Ballot Access Bill Passes Legislature

On April 3, the Maryland House unanimously passed HB 529. It lowers the number of signatures for statewide independent candidates from 1% of the number of registered voters (over 40,000) to exactly 10,000. The bill now goes to the Governor.
