New York Times Gives Prominent Coverage of Green Party’s Balance of Power in British Columbia — 2 Comments

  1. Except since the election results have yet to be finalised no one knows if the BC Liberals will have a majority or not so it’s prematute to say if the Greens will hold the balance of power!

On the election night count one seat – Courtenay-Comox – had an NDP majority of 9 over the Liberal with several hundred absentee ballots yet to be counted in that riding alone. There are over 175k absentee ballots across the Province still to be counted

Another has only a 120 vote difference and a third (where the liberal leads over the NDP) of 170

  2. The NY Times was not so giddy when third party votes shifted the balance of power in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin in the 2016 Presidential election.
