Raleigh Newspaper Endorses Bill to Add a State Board of Elections Member who is Neither a Democrat nor a Republican

On February 13, the North Carolina legislature passed HB 90, which says that the State Board of Elections should be composed of nine members: four Democrats, four Republicans, and one member who is neither. 1. Found the bill’s “home page” here:

Looks like the ninth member would be someone who is “not registered with either the political party with the largest number of registered affiliates in the State or of the political party with the second‑largest number of registered affiliates in the State” — so the member would belong to a “comprehensive other” category. OTOH, the one person would be selected “from a list of two nominees selected by the other eight members of the State Board — interesting to see what might come of that.

  2. HOW ABOUT SOME ALIEN — LIKE PUTIN THE MONSTER — OR EVEN SOME MARTIAN ???

  3. Demo Rep do you live in North Carolina? You would be perfect for the job since you are the most ALIEN being I know of.

  4. Better to be an alien with some Democracy brain cells than the alleged humans on this list having NO brain cells about Democracy, gerrymanders, rigged election boards, equal ballot access, etc.

PR and AppV — esp in NC.

The battles in 1780-1781 in SC/NC forced the Brits into Yorktown, VA to get defeated on 19 Oct 1781 by the USA-French Army forces >>>>> 1783 USA-Brit Peace Treaty.
