  1. I guess the drinking age would have to be lowered as well. Sure as hell cannot vote sober!

  2. Draft at 16 also into Military for foreign and domestic civil WARS ???

OLDE Dark Age Brits — allegiance to regime at age 12 (repeat 12).

    — WW II — German 12 or less year olds getting killed in Berlin ruins Apr-May 1945 fighting USSR 12 or less year olds — generation wipeout

later collapse of USSR regime in 1989-1991 — NOT enough older men to operate the regime.

  3. @Casual Observe Should be 18 like nearly every other country on the planet. All laws that limit ages need to be lowered, by at least 2 years each.

For voting I prefer staggered age limits. 14 for local/county and state legislature/executive primaries, 15 for state legislature/executive general and federal primaries (+ of course all the things 14 y.o. can vote in), and 16 for everything. 14 year olds have are genuinely effected by the outcome of school board elections; they should have a say in who determines the outcome of their high school education, as it likely has a strong weight on what college they can get in to.

  4. States can do this on their own if they want; no need for federal amendment. This is actually one of the reasons that we have an electoral college. Different states can have different voting qualifications, without having to have national requirements for all voters to determine a national popular vote total.

  5. How many USA Amdts regarding Electors-Voters so far ???

    14-2, 15, 19, 24, 26

Meng Amdt — have even more YOUNG and STUPID voters

    — electing more Donkey communists

    — via the brain dead *social* media ??? Duh.

  6. I support this, although I would also recommend adding some non-partisan civics classes in high school in the 9th and 10th grades. After all, no taxation without representation.

  7. We have to take a test to get a drivers license why not one to get a voters registration card?

  8. Various regimes have had very selective literacy tests to NOT have Electors-Voters —

part of the subversion of 14-2 — esp in rotted southern States.

26 Amdt due to the lunatic Vietnam War USA main part 1965-1973

    — lots of 18-20 men getting killed/injured

    — but NOT having any right to vote in many States

    — esp. for Prez and gerrymander Congress HACKS.

  9. @CO,

How about you can stay on your parents insurance policy until 26 but you can’t vote? If you are economically dependent, can you be politically independent? Be fully employed for 12 months (or serve in the military for 12 months) before you are an adult and are permitted to vote, drive, drink, etc. No representation without taxation.

  10. If I had been able to vote at 16, I would have voted for Governor Wallace in 1976. Take that, liberals!!
