California Secretary of State Won’t Express an Opinion on Whether to Restore Write-ins

California Secretary of State Alex Padilla held a press conference on November 2. He was asked if he favors restoring write-in space to California general elections for partisan office (California still has write-in space for primaries and non-partisan elections). All he said was that this is a matter for the legislature to decide.

Of course, the California Secretary of State always recommends election law changes to the legislature, so his answer seems to indicate he is satisfied with the status quo.

  1. Another FAILURE of the usual suspect moron *reporters* to ask any questions about —

P.R. and NONPARTISAN AppV – [pending Condorcet]

    — TO END THE NOW TOTAL MONARCH/OLIGARCH ROT IN CA (AND THE REST OF THE USA].

WHO IS MORE MORON EVIL/STUPID/ROTTED/USELESS —

GOVT HACKS – ESP. STATE SOS AND PARTISAN JUDGES

    PRIVATE MEDIA FOLKS/HACKS

PUBLIC PROFS – LAW, POLISCI, HISTORY

USE NUMBER VOTES FOR YOUR RANKINGS.

  2. Alex Padilla should reverse the decision by his predecessor to prevent all candidates from expressing their political party prefence on the ballots. He and the Attorney General should admit that this switch was contrary to the explicit provisions of SB 6, and the US and California constitutions. He should also investigate whether unionized staff at the SOS office conspired to subvert the Top 2 system.

  3. Yes, Soltysik v Padilla is pending in the 9th circuit. It could get a decision at any time. The last activity in the case was in April, after one of the three judges on the case died, another judge was appointed to take his place. There was no second oral argument; the new judge said she would watch or listen to the tape.

  4. What is the magic second now when the HACK courts become paralyzed regarding ALL election machinations by the legis/exec HACKS ???

The second that polls close on election days ??? The next day AM ??? Candidate declaration dates ???

    — see the SCOTUS JUNK Purcell op.

  5. The implementation of Top Two in California, ranked choice voting (RCV) in single winner districts in SF, Oakland and Maine, and the implementation of Approval Voting (ApV) by the national Libertarian Party are just examples of well-intentioned do-gooders and was not purposely done with man intentions.

The United Coalition USA is busy practicing pure proportional representation (PPR) the correct way, over and over again to strengthen the team.

The same PPR as the statutes in Cambridge Massachusetts is the PPR that the United Coalition USA practices.

Pure proportional representation (PPR) will correctly guarantee a perfect portrait of the people and that’s what everyone wants.

    Look at the math correctly.

Fortunately the United Coalition USA had been correct and on target with the math since 1992 when Mike Ossipoff [Peace and Freedom] brought the Santa Cruz Ad Hoc Coalition, for Santa Cruz city council, Ossipofg brought the correct math and we managed to cause quite an uproar.

I say to all those voting reformer activists, don’t give up. Keep searching.

Ralph Nader and Roseanne Barr are among the personalities who agreed to be part of our team (before they turned to the Green and Libertarian Parties) and they are two examples of self-destructive efforts because they never connected both mentally and physically with the task at hand.

Our team is all set up.

We’ve established probably the first pure proportional representation (PPR) Electoral College.

The destiny of those who pick voting systems other than the unifying phenomena of PPR will suffer continual dysfunction and the self destructive nature of third parties and independents in a one-party or two-party system.

But the United Coalition USA has a bright future as we build with individuals of the next generations and help them learn about how to engage with the team in unity.
