Memphis, Tennessee Voters Overwhelmingly Back Ranked Choice Voting — 5 Comments

  1. Visted the MLK assassination site in Memphis just last June so I know the beautiful town.

    The RCV system FairVote brought to SF, Oakland, Maine and other elections is a one-party system which is a tragedy for civil rights.

    The elections using RCV in Massachusetts mentioned in the same article offer a possible link pure proportional representation (PPR) for Maine.

    The United Coalition USA is bringing the unified Libertarian/One Presidential ticket, and the PPR Electoral College, to the California Libertarian Party to consider in April 2019 at the LP state convention.

  2. Typo.

    I meant to write that Massachusetts linked to Memphis is a good thing, but FairVote is in Maryland, and they did it wrong and they brought us the SF one-party system.

    PR and AppV — pending Condorcet — RCV done correctly.

  4. FairVote recently came out with a plan to gerrymander every state into five-member congressional districts which is unacceptable.

    That was barely a month ago, so what next?
