On January 3, Indiana State Senator Karen Tallian (D-Ogden Dunes) introduced SB 212, to provide that Indiana join that National Popular Vote Compact.

I like Tallian, probably one of my favorite Democrats in the state, and she’d have been a much better gubernatorial nominee than Gregg, but the NPVP just reeks of, “We hate Trump, let’s make sure that never happens again”. I know the plan existed before the 2016 presidential election, and I think the electoral college is disgusting, and furthermore, I completely believe that the winner of the presidential election should be the one who gets the most votes, but there are a lot of conservatives who will just see this as an anti-Trump bill and nothing more.
