New Mexico House Passes Bills for Election-Day Registration and Automatic Registration

On the evening of Monday, February 19, the New Mexico House passed HB 86, to let individuals register to vote at the polls on election day.  The House also passed HB 84, which provides that officials will automatically register every adult citizen known to exist, unless the individual asks not to be registered.
