Washington State Senate Passes Bill to Replace “Disobedient” Presidential Electors

On February 26, the Washington State Senate passed SB 5074 by 26-20.  It says that if a presidential elector votes for someone other than the person who received the most popular votes in the state, then that person is deemed to have resigned and will be replaced by someone chosen by the other electors.

It seems peculiar for the legislature to pass this bill now, when soon there will be a decision from the Washington State Supreme Court on whether the U.S. Constitution does permits states to punish presidential electors for voting in unexpected ways.

  1. They should fine political parties for fraudulently representing to voters on the ballot that a popular vote for Clinton would result in an electoral vote for Clinton. $100,000 per occurrence would likely work.

Or simply have elector candidates run as individuals in the Top 2 primary. Vote for 12 or less, top 24 advance. The ballot might read “prefers Bernie Sanders”, or “prefers Winona LaDuke” or prefers “John Kasich”, or even, “prefers Hillary Clinton” or “prefers Donald J Trump”.

  2. Abolish the minority rule Electoral College and ALL the machinations involving it —

the ROTTED Prez caucuses, primaries and conventions, district gerrymanders [NE and ME in 2016].

Uniform definition of Elector-Voter in ALL of the USA — USA Citizen, 18 years old plus. PERIOD. —

ZERO other machinations- mental, criminals [many selectively convicted via FALSE evidence — esp political convictions], etc.

  3. The new pure proportional representation (PPR) Electoral College is being constructed now and the combination of elected names serving from 2016 and new nominations total of 605 names are nominated and 538 will win the seat as Elector on new PPR Elector College:

Our Electors will be voting on Earth Day 2020, in Monterey California, and will be simultaneously electing 538 Electors, a President and Vice President. The 538 Electors will be able to vote on the Unity Platform USA 365 days a year. All 538 names will serve for four years, with plenty of consecutively ranked names as back-ups, in case of death or resignation.

The guidelines/rules might be changed but currently the One Party and Humanitarian Party, along with Presidential candidates from Libertarian and Green Parties, are already working and laying the groundwork.

The Electors will be able to vote for whom they wish after the US Presidential Election in 2020 should our team of candidates win President and Vice President. Our team isn’t expecting to be able to oversee either Congress nor the Electors during the voting after November 2020.
    During the four-year term,
