Fusion voting is the same as a two-party system like all plurality voting in single-winner districts.
The LP did it wrong bringing the two-party system in the past and guess what, the one-party system they’re bringing in 2020 will be far worse, but fortunately the United Coalition USA will bring the three-party system to POTUS in 2020 (and the 539-party system in the PPR Elector College) because under PPR a two-member district will bring the three-party system.
