McAfee/Supreme would be an interesting ticket.

  2. Due to the coming 2020 RED communist DONKEY vs BLUE fascist Trump

IE TWO TOTAL EVIL wannabee LAWLESS KILLER tyrants —

will the LP Prez person get even 0.1 percent of the popular votes ???

    Stay tuned.

  3. Demo Rep in 2016 Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson received 4.5 million votes. That was 3.3% of the total vote. It is a safe bet that the 2020 Libertarian presidential nominee will receive more than the 0.1% you suggest.

  4. After speaking to the FEC tiday, they told me that they are looking into why my name (and many other POTUS candidates) aren’t listed and I will post the update when so hear back from them.

My campaign is being blocked by the California L.P. Facebook page so I will announce the info. on BAN as a comment if I am not blocked here on BAN.

  5. Should be interesting to see who gets third place this time around. The Green Party’s Howie Hawkins is a strong candidate and organizer who will likely win the party’s nomination, and with Weld running as a Republican this time around, it’s yet to be seen if the Libertarians have anyone who can match him. Either way, both parties would have a lot more support and representation if our country actually had something resembling a free and fair election system. The struggle continues.

  6. JO

How many TONS of forms are FEC low grade clerks dealing with each day now —

for ALL Fed offices — USA Reps, Sens, Prezs/VPs ???

NO need for any special exercise stuff for them ???

  7. 2016 Trump —

elected in 28 States and ME CD2 with est. 25.7 (repeat 25.7) pct of popular votes —

    270 of 538 EC Votes.

Only about 8-10 marginal States of 50 States for Prez —

IE 2016 Trump Pcts minus Clinton Pcts.

2020 Voters in such States getting a zillion electronic attack ads – TV, internet, radio.

Invest in such local biz ???

How many more gerrymander area machinations – as in ME and NE ???

  8. Joshua H. – I believe the LP will outpoll the GP again in 2020 simply because they will be on more ballots. If the LP nominates a “non-GOP cast off” like a Jacob Hornberger rather than the potential nomination of Rep. Justin Amash then the vote tallies of the LP and the GP might be a lot closer than they were in 2016.

  9. Joshua H – The Greens might do about the same with a relative moderate like Biden as the Democratic nominee as they did with Clinton as the nominee (1,500,000, 1.1%). But if the Democrats nominate someone like Sanders or Warren, forget it. The Greens will be knocked back to Cobb and McKinney level numbers (175,000, 0.1%).

The LP has a floor of about 1,100,000 (0.8%), which puts it in a good starting position for potential third.

The Constitution Party is going nowhere as long as Trump is President, although it might really take off if the Republicans go back to being run by NeoCons.

That just leaves a wildcard independent candidate. It’s hard to see the Never-Trump Republicans trying again outside of the Republican Primary. They seem more likely to just concentrate on keeping mini-Trumps out of positions of power in the rest of the party. If the Daily Beast suggestion is right – that Howard Shultz (and similar types) won’t run if a moderate like Joe Biden is the Democratic nominee, then that might leave the Greens and the LP neck-and-neck. If the Dems go Sanders or Warren, then the LP finishes with a clear 3rd, again.

  10. @Jim, IMO you are mistaken about the Constitution Party. They cracked the 200k mark for the first time against Trump in ’16 and that was after coming off a very poor showing with a GOP crossover (Virgil Goode, no longer with the party. What a surprise.) in 2012 AND without their longtime AIP affiliate for ballot access in California. I predict they will hit at least 250k next year:
    1992 – Phillips/Knight: 43,369
    1996 – Phillips/Titus: 184,656
    2000 – Phillips/Frazier: 98,020
    2004 – Peroutka/Baldwin: 143,630
    2008 – Baldwin/Castle: 199,750
    2012 – Goode/Clymer: 122,388
    2016 – Castle/Bradley: 203,069

  11. ***moderate*** Donkey —

Only 99 percent CONTROL of EVERYTHING ???

    — rather than 100 percent CONTROL OF EVERYTHING ???

  12. Jeff Becker- I hope your are right! But if the CP doesn’t nominate someone of the Chuck Baldwin or Darrel Castle ilk they will be lost in all the BS of the Trump for God crowd.

  13. The LP has a mostly sad list of candidates, again.

Kokesh is a Weld supporter and thus not libertarian.

  14. Me: When I met Kokesh at the 2018 Oklahoma Libertarian party convention he was disdainful of Weld. Where on Earth did you get the ridiculous idea that he supports Weld? It is absolutely false.

  15. Watch some of his more recent videos praising Weld. I know they came out after the national convention.

  16. Me: The National Convention was in 2016. Weld was the Libertarian Vice President nominee for 2016. Of course Libertarians would support the Libertarian ticket. The idea that Kokesh supports Weld today is baloney. I personally spoke with Kokesh in 2018 as I mentioned in my earlier post. You are not telling the truth.

  17. Me: I have watched the Kokesh You Tube video where he speaks about William Weld. The video is definitely not as you described. Kokesh admires Weld as a political activist. Kokesh admires Weld as a human being. Kokesh hopes to use Weld as a model for how a candidate should behave. Kokesh also makes clear that although he admires Weld as a person, that does not mean that Kokesh agrees with all of the political views or campaign actions of William Weld. I agree with Kokesh’s reading of Weld. I think that you should be ashamed of yourself for your misleading characterization of Adam Kokesh.
