Florida Legislature Passes Bill Requiring All Initiative Petitions to Have Their Own Unique Number

On May 3, the Florida legislature passed HB 5, which requires that each initiative petition form must have its own unique number.  If this bill is signed, then the government will need to provide blank petition forms.  Under the old law, groups circulating an initiative print their own forms.  See this story.  Local election officials are complaining abut this bill, and it is possible it will be vetoed.

  1. Which gang of BLUE Elephant gerrymander HACKS is the most ANTI-Democracy fascist ???

    Same for RED Donkey communists.

Can SCOTUS stop Civil WAR II ???

Failed in 1857 Dred Scott >>> Civil WAR I in 1860-1861.

  2. Blatant attempt to have a PURGE list of anti-Elephant petition circulators.

Daily reading of that 4 July 1776 document.

  3. Bad law. Right now in Florida, anyone who wants to gather petition signatures can download the petitions off the internet and print them on 8.5″x11″ paper. This would eliminate that. It would also make it harder for petitioners who run low on petition sheets to get new ones, since you would notbe able to make copies anymore.
