Missouri Bill to Change Open Primaries to Closed Primaries Dies

Missouri House Bill 26 has been dropped from the House calendar, so it is considered dead.  It had passed the House on second reading on March 27, but then it was never brought up for third (final) reading.  It would have changed Missouri from an open primary state, to a closed primary state.  Thanks to Ken Bush for this news.

    Local regime has both — most Donkey/Elephant legislature partisan candidates use fixed $100 (repeat $100) filing fees. Crowds only when NO incumbent in gerrymander districts.

    Should be nom pet min x $ amount.

  2. Also- max 0.2 pct for nom petits

    After the first 1 or 2 PR elections likely few candidates (except if no incumbents).
