Pennsylvania Bill to Abolish Straight Ticket Device Passes Senate Committee — 6 Comments

  1. If I recall correctly, something like this was enacted in Michigan a couple of years ago, but stopped by the courts because of “disparate impact” or something. If that’s the case, then states that don’t have a straight ticket option should be ORDERED to implement one.

Another reason why the courts need to be reined in ruthlessly.

  2. A US District Court Judge in Michigan did order that state to keep the straight-ticket device, but then the 6th circuit voted 3-0 that the US District Court judge had been wrong.

But then the voters of Michigan put the straight-ticket device back into the law. In fact it is now in the State Constitution of Michigan. Michigan is therefore the only state in history which took away the device and then it came back.

  3. Equal ballot access MUST be put in ALL Consts —

since the HACK Courts are so EVIL CORRUPT/MORON STUPID since 1968 Williams v Rhodes.

  4. Straight ticket devices should actually be nationally outlawed. If a state insists on having a straight ticket device it should not be allowed to remain part of the United States. Hopefully, the last few remaining states which have it will get rid of it soon, even if that requires federal intervention.
