The Colorado referendum petition to repeal the National Popular Vote law in Colorado has enough signatures. See this story. It will be on the November 2020 ballot. This will be the first time that voters of any state have voted on the plan.

For me the main folly of the NPVIC is that it only requires a plurality, not a majority, as is the current situation with the Electoral College. Institute RCV and use a Condorcet method to determine the winner and then we can talk.
After the voters uphold NPV in Colorado it is time to go on the offensive and use initiative to pass it in states where the legislators are more recalcitrant. 270 here we come!

I agree with Brandon. NPV, if adopted should require a majority of the popular vote, not a mere plurality. That would encourage states to adopt either ranked choice or Condorcet voting.
