Bethany, Oklahoma, held a special election to fill the city council seat, district one, on November 12. Chris Powell won the non-partisan three-way race with 63% of the vote. He was the Libertarian nominee for Governor in 2018, and is a former state chair of the party. Thanks to several people for this news.

Congratulations to Chris Powell. An overwhelming majority in a 3 person race! Even though it was a non partisan election, everyone knew that Powell’s two opponents were a Democrat and a Republican. The voters of Bethany also knew that Chris Powell is a Libertarian.
