Washington Post Article on Libertarian, Green, and Constitution Party Presidential Nominations

On November 15, the Washington Post ran an article about the presidential nomination process in 2020 for the Libertarian, Green, and Constitution Parties.  The article discusses Don Blankenship, who is seeking the Constitution Party.  It also says former Governor Jesse Ventura would like the Green Party nomination, although it says he is doing nothing to obtain it.  It mentions Congressman Justin Amash but merely says he has not said what he will do in 2020.

Washington Post Article on Libertarian, Green, and Constitution Party Presidential Nominations — 9 Comments

  1. Does the article mention Adam Kokesh, Arvin Vohara, Jacob Hornberger, or any of the other people who have officially announced that they are seeking the Libertarian Party’s presidential nomination? The same question for the Green Party.

  2. It doesn’t mention any of those three Libertarian candidates. It does mention Vermin Supreme.

It mentions Howie Hawkins but no other Green seeking the Green nomination.

  3. So the article mentions the goofball court jester performance artist joke candidate, Vermin Supreme, and it mentions the Republican turned independent who has not even announced that he’s seeking the LP’s nomination, Justin Amash, but it does not bother to mention any of the actual serious candidates who have officially announced that they are seeking the LP’s nomination. This is not good journalism.

  4. The article ought to mention at least a few of the officially announced candidates for each party’s nomination.

  5. Jesse missed his moment. He should have run for President in 2000. There was no hotter name in politics in 1999 than Jesse Ventura. I am not sure that he would have defeated Buchanan for the Reform Party nomination, as Buchanan had a national network. But, maybe if he had declared early enough he would have scared Buchanan away.

  6. The ONE time per Prez cycle story for non-donkeys/elephants in the ha ha Un-bi-ASSed WP ???

  7. “So the article mentions the goofball court jester performance artist joke candidate…”

No, the article says nothing about joke candidate Adam Kokesh.
