  1. Interesting. Darcy Richardson did not file contrary to what he said earlier, so looks like he is focusing on the Reform Party nom. Blankenship, Grundmann, and Kraut are all FEC filed as CP candidates. J.R. Myers split from the CP earlier this year and the Idaho CP is disaffiliated, so no surprise there. Sheila “Samm” Tittle is an independent who was at the CP’s spring meeting in Pittsburgh, so no surprise there either. Daniel Clyde Cummings is with the CP of Wyoming and sought the party’s presidential nomination in 2016. There is a Colt Hample and Arthur VanHouten also FEC filed with the CP but who are not participating in Idaho.

  2. And apparently the Idaho Secretary of State is not too bright:
Roque De La Fuente* (Democratic Party)
Roque “Rocky” De La Fuente* (Republican Party)
*Though these names appear similar, we have verified they are in fact different individuals.

  3. Richard, I wish you had edit capability here. From Rocky’s Wiki page: “De La Fuente’s son Roque De La Fuente III[69] has entered the Democratic presidential primaries in California,[70][71] Idaho,[56] New Hampshire,[72] Texas,[53] and Utah.[54]”

  4. yeah, Roque III donated money to his father’s 2020 candidacy too, which is how I figured they were different.

  5. How many ZILLION mentions of De La Fuente folks in Google ???

    More than for BAN ???

Is Google also *media* — for ballot access purposes ???

  6. @Joshua – yeah, I figured that out after posting, hence my request to Richard for edit capability.

  7. @JB,

The first state they both filed in was NH, and it almost looked like the Rocky III filing was fake, since it had a gmail address, and a PO Box. But that PO Box in Rancho Santa Fe, CA is used in consistently used (check the Utah filings where you can click through to see the actual filing). It also matches his FEC filing.

The father who is Rocky, Jr. uses a San Diego, CA address on Moorhead.

I’m not sure if the son is actually “Rocky”. He might have been known as Roquito or Little Rocky or Arkie Boy. All the men who I know who were named after their father and known as Little ___ don’t particularly care for the name past about 10.

The notary for the Utah application says it was Rocky III who appeared before him. He may have used a drivers license for ID purposes.

  8. Jeff Becker: Yes, Darcy Richardson regretfully did not declare for our Idaho presidential primary. His reason was that he decided to support a friend’s campaign. Beyond that, CP-Idaho is surprised to have six candidates in our March 2020 primary. They are welcomed all.

Our presidential debate is planned for February 29. With three CP-Idaho primary candidates also running in the California AIP primary (Super Tuesday, March 3), our candidate debate is timely. We are working on live stream capabilities. Should the California AIP people want the debate feed, let us know.

  9. Floyd, Great job! Yes, from Joshua’s link above, I see that Don Blankenship, Charles Kraut, and J.R. Myers are all running in California’s AIP primary. I find the words “generally recognized” rather humorous in that regard. Live streaming would be informative for folks in every state. Hope that can be worked out.
