  1. Nice GOP vanity candidates. Jeff, I don’t know exactly what the verbiage is on the filing deadline, but midnight is considered part of the new day, so 12 a.m. Saturday is six hours after 6 p.m. Friday.

  2. OK, so the deadline is 11:59pm and 59 seconds, Saturday, January 25, 2020. Granted, the specific language does day “midnight,” but it always has been at the end of the day on a Saturday.

  3. Oddly enough, the Democrat delegate selection plan says midnight January 26. Maybe they translated from West by God Virginia time to East Coast time.

Bill Weld filed on Friday. He should go over about as well as Hillary “we’ll fire all the coal miners and chop their heads off and make them eat cake, right Tim ” Clinton.

  4. Mainly focusing on unopposed Republicans for state legislature and county offices. And any unopposed Democrats, but I doubt there will be any. Although the tables have turned when just ten years ago it was the other way around with only unopposed Dems, it’s still the same _____ different day here. Just different wings of the same bird of prey.
