New York Removes Joe Walsh and Rocky De La Fuente from Republican Ballot for Failing to Nominate Any Delegates

Four Republican presidential candidates submitted valid petitions to get themselves on the Republican presidential primary ballot, being held in April: President Donald Trump, William Weld, Joe Walsh, and Rocky De La Fuente. But the latter two didn’t submit the names of any candidates for Delegate, so they have been removed. William Weld submitted some delegates, but not a full slate. The State Board of Elections is giving him three days to complete his delegate slate. If he does not comply, that would leave only President Trump on the ballot. In that event, the state would cancel the Republican presidential primary. See this Politico story. Thanks to Joe Burns for the link.

The story doesn’t mention the Libertarian presidential primary. Seven Libertarian presidential candidates submitted petitions for themselves, but only one submitted any delegates, so the Libertarian primary will also be cancelled.

  1. Joe Walsh dropped out, didn’t he? MORON Demo Rep fails to realize this.

  2. Walter, I don’t know. I hope someone who does know will tell us via a comment.

  3. I know Rocky spent over $100,000 getting on the ballot for the New York Republican primary ballot.

  4. Richard, are you sure that any Libertarian Party presidential nomination candidates submitted any petition signatureststo get themselves on the primary ballot in New York? The requirement was deceptively difficult, as only registered Libertarians could sign tbe petition. They only needed 700 and something valid signatures, but there are only around 14,000 and something registered Libertarians in New York, plus they did not have a lot of time to gather the signatures, and the signature gathering time was in cold weather. I heard that they utilized an alternatuve methkd for getting on the NY primary ballot by writing letters to the NY Secretary of State where they pointed out sone media coverage they got, and requested that they be placed on tbe primary ballot based on that.

  5. Takes Jake. I though it might have been Chafee. Glad that you cleared that up.

  6. There is no way we can bring the three-party system or the 539-party system to the 538-member Electoral College unless we start using limited voting.

The Libertarian One 2020 explains the plan:

One hundred percent of all men to demonstrate teamwork with those not like us, bring humility and change US history in 2020 by bringing limited voting and rank only our opposite gender ahead of our own and consecutively ranked alternating genders thereafter with voluntary opt-in.

No more male single-winner election district power grabbers, no more males self-nominating males and males nominating males and only collaboration for the good of the whole in 2020.
