North Dakota Supreme Court Removes Top-Four Initiative from Ballot

On August 25, the North Dakota Supreme Court unanimously removed the top-four initiative from the November ballot. Haugen v Jaeger, 2020 ND 177. The State Constitution says initiative petitions must include the full text of the proposed changes, and this initiative did not do so. Here is the six-page opinion.

    How many Legis bodies require full texts for co-sponsors – after full text of any bill is known ???
