I don’t think this angle has ever been argued before in West Virginia. Not sure about anywhere else. Nevertheless, only 6,383 out of 14,000 is only 45% validity which is extraordinarily shabby. Sounds like he just did a rush job of hiring as many people as possible regardless of their skill level… and thus ended up with the bottom of the barrel. As I have said before, failures like this are a reflection of poor leadership ability and thus these candidates are not qualified for the job anyway.
I’m kinda surprised that Kanye went for West Virginia in the first place. 7,144 signatures by Aug. 3rd was a difficult task given how the state only has five electoral votes. Alabama only required 5,000 (by Aug. 20th) and Georgia only required 5,250 (by Aug. 14th), yet he did not attempt to make either of those states despite them being much easier.
His entire campaign seems to lack strategic awareness.

Kanye West has more name recognition than all of the minor party candidates put together. West has more financial resources than all of the minor party candidates put together. But the best West can do is get on the ballot in states that have a collective total of 112 electoral votes.

Trump wants West on the ballot because he likely takes more votes away from Biden. Most who vote for West do not care about actual policy or his beliefs.

West Virginia is a tough state for ballot access. It’s really a three state monopoly (Republican, Democratic, and Mountain Party)and any political party besides those three will always be challenged and have to fight and spend money to obtain something they should have had free in the first place. I love voting for a third party just to be able to keep them on the ballot and give voters a choice.
