Dead people do not cast ballots. In all states, death certificates for people who die in that state are sent to the elections administrators, who remove the names of the dead people from the voter rolls. This system works very well, but sometimes people die outside the state of their residence, so it isn’t 100%.
Richard Winger, have you been paying attention to Michigan? One of the voters died in 1984! Another was allegedly born in 1850, and several others around 1900! Do you really believe those are valid votes? Are there several people around 120 years old (and one aged 170) the media never reported on?

A large majority of the county clerks (or county auditors) who administer elections within their own county (around the nation) are Republicans. Most Secretaries of State are Republicans. The Attorney General of the United States is a partisan Republican who seems loyal to President Trump. So election administration, and law enforcement, is under the control of Republicans.
I wonder what happens to early, mail-in votes where the vote isn’t counted until election day, but the person who mailed the vote dies before then.
