Washington State Bill to Let Local Governments Use Ranked Choice Voting for their Own Elections

On January 12, a bill was introduced in the Washington legislature to let cities and counties use ranked choice voting for their own officers. The bill, HB 1156, has 27 sponsors. Here is the text.

  1. Thank you !!!! I have been saying there needs to be a party for the constitution- had no clue you all existed (ignorance) maybe or misinformation- my goal is to tell everyone everywhere about constitution party- the party that stands for everything my husband and I believe in
    – after years of voting for the lesser of 2 evils- no more worry- be prepared Americans are looking for a trustworthy party

    PR elections – Pre-election CANDIDATE rank order lists of ALL other candidates
    – coalition lists for marginal seats.

    Exec/judic – Voter Approval Voting of 1 or more – highest win.
