I hope we will find out that Shawn W. Howard received a couple of write-in votes in Rhode Island. He graduated from Rhode Island’s Bryant College in the 1990s, as did I. He received 12 write-in votes in neighboring Connecticut.
I don’t understand why people think tallying write-in votes is too much to handle when Vermont can release its write-in results within a few days.
I suspect that increased inability to read and write clearly by hand has led to the inability to get comprehensive write-in totals. And, is it just my imagination, or have write-in spaces on ballots gotten smaller over time?
If they can’t read a write in vote, they could just list it as illegible.
