On February 2, the Mississippi House Apportionment and Elections Committee killed HB 1183, which would have let each U.S. House district choose its own presidential elector.

  1. I agree. States which are already safely GOP don’t need this. The only states where it’s a good idea are ones where GOP stands to gain.

  2. Whatever the political inclination of a particular state, choosing electors by district gets that state more interest from national campaigns.
