Supporters of the State Initiative Process File Amicus Curiae in U.S. Supreme Court

On March 8, scholars and supporters of the statewide initiative process filed this amicus curiae brief in the U.S. Supreme Court. They ask the Court to hear Thompson v DeWine, 20-1072. This is the Ohio case over whether the lower federal courts should have given some petitioning relief for Ohio initiatives during 2020.

  2. They should have granted some relief. Hard to gather petition signatures during a lockdown.
