Larry Elder Wins Ballot Access Lawsuit

On June 21, Larry Elder won a court order in Sacramento Superior Court, putting him on the September 14, 2021 recall ballot. See this story. The case is Elder v Weber, 34-2021-80003682 in Sacramento Superior Court.

The basis for the decision is that the law requiring gubernatorial candidates to submit their income tax returns only applies to primary elections, and the gubernatorial recall is not a primary. This means that none of the other 41 candidates need to have bothered to have submitted their returns. But of course no one could have known that for sure, at the time of the filing deadline.

So far, there is no written decision.

Larry Elder Wins Ballot Access Lawsuit — 22 Comments

  1. Mary Carey explicitly cited inability to comply with the tax return requirement in time as the reason she didn’t file.

  2. ANY DEMAND FOR $$$ DAMAGES ??? –

WASTE OF LE TIME AND EFFORT AND $$$ DOING THE CASE.

  3. Thank the LORD! GOD in his infinite WISDOM saw to it that JUSTICE be done here!!! I prayed but did not expect this would happen, but the LORD heard our prayers and saw to it that it would!

Now the next step is the election itself. Let us all pray that Elder succeeds in saving California from the commie traitors. It’s a hail Mary pass but it’s the only shot they have left. The hour is late and if California keeps getting burned alive by the commie scum, it’s better off being sunk to the bottom of the ocean by a tectonic plate shift.

I read this and you should to. If you read it, you’ll understand what I mean:

  4. John Cox, Bruce Jenner, Nickolas Wildstar, and the other Republicans need to drop out immediately and endorse Larry Elder.

  5. Glad to see he overcame corruption; but, I still wouldn’t vote for his sorry ass.

  6. Any other candidates that were dropped due to this issue that are being automatically relisted on the ballot, or does this only apply to Elder?

  7. How do you know you wouldn’t vote for him? What if when more details are posted you will think it’s the best platform?

  8. Disco Stuck,

True, but he should still provide his own answers.

  9. Did Shirley Weber commit Elder Abuse by trying to deny him access to the ballot?
