This would be helpful in all states. Are there any states that already have electronic petitions in place?
Arizona, but only for petitions to get on a primary ballot. The Arizona law irrationally does not apply to independent candidate petitions, nor petitions for a new party.
Ideally in a democratic society any adult member of society could appear on a ballot by simply identifying themselves and stating their intention to run.
