New York Democratic Party State Chair Changes His Mind and “Fair Deal Party” Will not Come Into Existence

On April 23, Jay Jacobs, state chair of the New York Democratic Party, said he has changed his mind, and he no longer supports the creation of a “Fair Deal Party” that would cross-endorse Democratic Party nominees. He said this after receiving assurances from the Working Families Party that the WFP will support whomever the Democrats nominate for Governor.

  1. I try not to go into hyperbole on this board because too many people on here are gimmicks, but:

    WHY DOES THIS “PARTY” EXIST?

  2. A lot of Democrats hate hte WFP, including the former governor, who tried repeatedly to kill it.

If you wanted to hurt the WFP, some Dems not under Jay Jacobs’s influence should petition for a “Fair Deal Party” anyway.
