Independent Candidate Qualifies for Governor of Maine

According to this story, independent candidate Sam Hunkler has qualified to be on the November 2022 ballot for Governor of Maine.

Given that fact, and other recent developments, such as the success of the Alabama general election petition for the Libertarian Party, and the Arizona primary ballot access success of Libertarian Marc Victor, it is possible that New York will be the only state in the nation with no opponent on the ballot to all the statewide Democratic and Republican nominees in 2022. It is still too early to tell about Kentucky (where the petition deadline is in August) and North Dakota (where the independent candidate petition deadline is in September).

Also, the above statement doesn’t apply to the states in which parties don’t have nominees and which limit the number of candidates who can appear on the general election ballot to just two (California and Washington) or four (Alaska).

  1. Angela McArdle is the new LP chair. Where’s the update? You did a post for corrupt Bilyeu.

  2. Why was Bilyeu rushed to the hospital? Did she get the China virus?

  3. Bilyeu should be tried for fraud along with Nick Sarwark Richard Longstreth and JBH.

  4. McArdle is by far the hottest LP chair in history. Bilyeu looks like a trainwreck who gained 40 pounds worth of burritos.

  5. Did Bilyeu have a heart attack because she knew her reign of corruption was ending? We haven’t heard the whole story only speculation.

  6. No but the rest of her body is built well. I could totally see her on a pole. That’s a way to bring in donations!

  7. The New York deadline is May 31, Tuesday. It is possible the Libertarian statewide ticket will qualify, and also there is an independent US Senate candidate would might qualify. Legal efforts to extend the deadline are still underway.

  8. Winger will reply here but not make a post about McArdle being the new chair even though he did for Bilyeu. What a hypocrite.

  9. The person posting at 3:03pm is not me and I’ve been the only person here posting here under the name of Ryan for a long period of time.

Indiana State Treasurer at the moment does not have a 2nd candidate. Democrats have a month til their Convention but so far no one has expressed interest.

  10. I am not in Sparks, nor have I been watching from home. I will make a post when there is some on-line news story, but so far nothing turns up on “news.google.” I am surprised that there isn’t any general news media attending the convention who have submitted a story yet.

I mailed the June 1 2022 Ballot Access News paper edition yesterday and am somewhat exhausted.

  11. Winger is reduced to Google? He’s too lazy to search somewhere else?
