On May 29, at the close of the Libertarian Party’s national convention in Sparks, Nevada, newly-elected chair Angela McArdle announced that she is pregnant for the first time.
There have been pregnant governors, and pregnant members of Congress, but this is probably the first such event for the chair of a nationally-organized political party, at least a party that had as many as 1,000 attendees present.

As of the MC takeover, the LP was on the ballot in 36 jurisdictions (35 States plus DC). Alabama and Iowa were added just before the Convention. In addition, New Jersey has just completed its petition. That leaves 14 States still to do. About 10 are easy (5,000 or fewer valid signatures). But New York, Illinois, and Massachusetts are hard.
Andrea, your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to get LP Ballot Access for the remaining 14 States for the 2022 Elections. That will prove that you are on a par with previous Administrations, who routinely achieved 50 State plus DC Ballot Access in Presidential Election years.
